Fiber composites made of glass, carbon or aramid fibers, such as those used in boats, wind turbines, aircrafts and automotive constructions, place high demands on processing due to their complex properties. This applies in particular to the clean cutting of carbon, glass fiber and composites.

DIENES know-how

Although cutting composites is a demanding process, DIENES has developed products that will always give you a good score in terms of quality and economy.
The process requirements can be very different, but the material being processed is probably the most important differentiator. The criteria for selecting the actual slitting tool are complex. For example, the same material, if it has different thicknesses, requires adaptation on the part of the tool.

With DIENES products, even weights of 7 kg/ m2 are possible.
For larger cutting widths from 50 mm, DIENES recommends the PSGs-DF 50 shear cut knife holder with Senso Control depth adjustment.  Unlike conventional knife holders, the setting of the correct overlap depth on this model can be easily and conveniently adjusted with LED display, ensuring optimum control and perfect cutting edge.
