DIENES has made a significant contribution to occupational safety by developing the additional function 360\u00b0 safety hand guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The higher degree of safety is achieved by a simple but effective mechanism that utilizes the vertical movement of the knife to execute the pivoting movement of the safety element. This hand guard is attached directly to the knife holder. It prevents the hand from reaching between the knives while the machine is running. The shear cut knife holders that are equipped with the safety hand guard have a movable safety element that releases the cutting edge before the cutting knife holder is activated and completely covers it after the cutting process is completed. This is achieved by a mechanism that utilizes the vertical movement of the knife to execute the swiveling movement of the safety element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
