That is why the DIENES team not only supported the installation and commissioning but also trained NOVITA’s employees directly at the machine.
The training focused on the correct adjustment of the knife holders, the interaction between top and bottom knives, and the key factors influencing clean and reproducible cutting edges. After all, only when knives, knife holders, machine settings and material work together optimally can a slitting system reach its full potential.

The Key Takeaway

The NOVITA project demonstrates that existing slitting systems do not necessarily need to be replaced to improve their performance. Often, the greater potential lies in combining targeted technological modernization with in-depth process know-how.
This is precisely where DIENES comes in with its Long Life knife holder generation and accompanying operator training. In this way, an existing system can gradually be transformed into a more stable, efficient and better-controlled slitting process.

About the Company

The DIENES Group is a market-leading provider of knives, knife holders, and slitting systems for industrial applications, with a history spanning 113 years.
