They differ not only in terms of the temperatures they can achieve, but also in their areas of application.\r\n<h2>Hot cut<\/h2>\r\nThe PQAS H \/ PQDS H hot cut holder was developed for cutting synthetic fabrics (e.g. typewriter ribbons and textiles).\r\n\r\nThe hot cut element can be heated up to 750\u00b0.\u00a0Due to this relatively high temperature, the respective cutting material is separated and at the same time the cut edges are welded. Depending on the cutting materials, cutting speeds of up to 70 m\/min are possible.\r\n\r\nSpeed and temperature must be precisely matched to ensure an optimum cutting process and simultaneous welding of the edges.\r\n<h2>Heated cut<\/h2>\r\nThe field of application of the heated cut is the processing of papers and plastic films coated or impregnated on both sides with adhesive (hot melt adhesive) for label and sticker production.\r\n\r\nIn the cold-cutting processes used to date (squeeze and shear cutting), the adhesive coating sticks to the knife edges and leads to web breaks and poor cut edges in the short term.\r\n\r\nTo eliminate or minimize the adhesion of the adhesive to the knife edges, a heatable crush knife holder, the PQAS BH, was developed.
